3 Steps To Unlock Door
AT Unit # 507W
(on The
West Tower)
During each step below, please exercise patience while lock completes each function.
WARNING
PLEASE, DO NOT try to open door while latch is disengaging, engaging and/or in transit, you could cause it to fail to open/close or jam the screen and/or lock.
1. Touch blank screen (may require 2 fingers) to illuminate it.
2. Type in your 4 digit access code (must be done before screen blanks out).
Do Not keep typing if you enter wrong code, wait till it blanks out then go to step 1. above.
Entering more than your 4 digit code or tapping on screen randomly, may jam screen and delay it from blanking out.

3. Once code is accepted DO NOT try to OPEN door until you see the screen showing the "Kwikset" label at the top and the "check mark" symbol at the bottom left (see picture).
You may then open the door.
DO NOT try to open door prior because latch is disengaging and in transit AND you could cause it to fail to open or jam the screen/lock.

2 Steps To Lock Door
Code is not required to lock door.
Note: Lock
DOES NOT auto self-lock when door is closed.
1. Ensure door is unobstructed and closed all the way prior to initiating lock sequence.
2. Tap on screen then press the "Lock symbol" at bottom right.
Once locked, the display will show "Kwikset" at the top and the "lock" symbol at bottom right (see picture).
Double check door is locked by gently trying to manually open it.

NOTE
It may be possible that screen diverts to a Secure Screen mode. This feature is normally disabled. But if you encounter it, do the following.
If a partial lit screen appears (not necessarily like the picture, but scattered numbers), tap on each number before screen times out.
No particular tap order is needed.
Once you tap all numbers, full screen appears. Then follow 'To Unlock Door' step 2. instructions above.
