If you have someone or you're installing, replacing or removing your clothes washing machine, you must observe the following. This will highly prevent leak issues, mold, property damage and all associated costs to you. Prior to installing or removing, both hot and cold valves should be closed. See images below for reference.

  1. Ensure that both flexible hoses are free of any damage, especially if they are older or you got used ones.
  2. Ensure that both ends of the flexible hoses have the rubber washers installed (some have a combination washer/screen).
  3. When using plyers to tighten ends, use snug force. Over tightening could damage or break supply line(s), especially the ones made of PVC/CPVC.
  4. Install drain line properly so that it does not pop out.
  5. Prior to pushing machine into its place, leak check both ends (fully open hot and cold supply valves).
  6. Consider hiring Ricky or requesting his assistance should you not have help or tools to do so. This would be the best way to ensure it's done properly.

When installing a clothes washing machine, observe the following in order to prevent leaks which could cause property damage, mold and other costly inconvenience to you. Ensure your hoses are in good working order by visually inspecting them prior to installation. Both ends of the houses need to have the rubber seal or seal/screen installed. Not having them will cause a steady leakage at the connection point(s). When using plyers to tighten hoses, use snug force as you could BREAK the supply lines, especially if they are PVC/CPVC type.
